The New Jersey Association of Museums is excited to present our next series of professional development workshops, with lunch and enrichment activities included.

Program Schedule

11 a.m.–12 p.m. Join Kristin Qualls, Director of Exhibitions and Collections, on a tour of the award-winning Emanation 2017 contemporary art exhibit in the Museum of American Glass.

12–1:30 p.m. Networking Luncheon

1:30–2 p.m. Glass Blowing Demonstration in WheatonArts Glass Studio

2–3 p.m. Behind-the-scenes tour and discussion with Creative Director Hank Adams and Kristin Qualls.  Hank and Kristin will illustrate how WheatonArts is embracing change through the Emanation project, establishing a partnership between the museum and studio to share curatorial authority.

The Emanation Project at WheatonArts includes artists’ residencies during which invited artists create new work in the WheatonArts Glass Studio; an exhibition in the Museum of American Glass of the work created during the residencies; and educational interpretation of the creative process geared to public audiences of all ages and backgrounds.
